Rebekah De La Cerda

My name is Rebekah de la Cerda I am currently a senior at the University of North Texas!

I grew up in a Christian household and was able to see what it meant to live a life for the Lord through the example of my family. So at a young age, I made the decision to accept Jesus into my heart as my Savior. Though I knew Jesus as my Savior, I went through my middle school years searching for validation and approval from others which left me feeling unworthy, lonely, and constantly fighting insecurity and anxiety… I was not finding my identity in Christ. My freshman year of high school I had a life-changing encounter with the presence of the Lord that transformed my knowledge of God into a personal relationship with Him.

Coming to college I got connected with Campus Outreach through my older brother and have had the opportunity to participate and have a front-row seat to what the Lord is doing on the UNT campus. Out of the abundance of the love the Lord has for me, the desire and passion to share and show His love to others has continued to grow in my heart since then. I desire to be used by God as a vessel to share with others the Good News of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, so they can have a personal relationship with Him for themselves. Knowing that God has called me to be a light in the darkness, He has opened the door to be an intern for Campus Outreach. I am helping plan and coordinate events for peers to connect with God, as well as going on campus to share our One and Only Hope in this lost and broken world.

Living my life to bring glory, honor, and praise to His name!
