I grew up in a Christian household in central Arkansas. My parents were faithful to disciple me and model what it meant to be a Christ follower. God used my sister's profession of faith to draw me to Himself. As a child, I accepted the good news that Jesus offers us-that I could have a relationship with God because of the sacrifice that Jesus made for my sin.

As I went through life, I would pendulum between self-righteousness and extreme shame over my sin and failure to live a perfect life. I sought approval from people and was really good at following the rules. The summer before 8th grade, I attended church camp and was confronted by the concept of lordship-I was still operating as though I was the lord of my life. I confessed that while I had recognized Jesus as my Savior, I wasn't consistently letting Him be Lord. From there, my desire for the Lord and for people to know Him has grown day by day.

I am excited to join Campus Outreach and TVCD to share with college students that their greatest need is found in Jesus.
